Compounding pharmacies distributed ivermectin during Covid while the big chains did not. They are so scrutinized, I would trust their ingredients compounded over any pharma drug made overseas in often filthy factories that the FDA barely reviews for safety and stopped visiting firsthand, often just relying on the data they provide to ensure safety. They also can provide drugs like low dose naltrexone that can only be issued compounded. Of course they are heavily targeted by pharma and the government. Many of the compounding pharmacies end up targeted, harassed, and put out of business. I support our town pharmacy, even when their prices are a little higher, just to ensure we have other avenues outside the big chains.
I couldn't agree with you more. One of the first things that RFK Jr. can do is to ban pharmaceutical industry television ads for products. We, along with New Zealand, to my understanding are the only countries that allow these pharmaceutical ads. If you watch an hour of TV about 30% or so of ads are pharmaceutical ads. They are nauseating. Let's get back to having doctors prescribe medications and inform their patients of the side effects and benefits.
We are blessed with a local independent Pharmacist plus a compounding pharmacy in a smaller community wouldn’t even consider using the franchise pharmacies. Better service equal or lower prices. Better advice what’s not to like?
Some years ago I developed a very resistant case of HSV Keratitis. After trying just about everything else, the only solution that arrested it was to: 1. Have the hospital draw my own blood, spin out the white cells and create eye drops which were subsequently dispensed, followed by 2. A regimen of eyedrops containing albumin prepared by - you guessed it - a compounding pharmacy. Because of the contents the drops are perishable and there isn’t (to my knowledge) another way of making them. That regimen finally stopped the corneal scar that is hundredths of millimeters nearly into my field of vision, and I am one lucky and blessed individual. I will be forever grateful to my ophthalmologist and local compounding pharmacy.

First thing the 800 pound gorilla does is eliminate any and all of the competition which dares look him in the eye.
One of the reasons our Fathers set up LIMITED government was so the government could eliminate the 800 pound gorillas.
Instead, we got the Administrative State and a symbiotic relationship between the AS and the gorilla.
