In the world of protect big pharma at all costs…….Eli Lilly is now launching an ad campaign encouraging people to NOT trust a compounding pharmacy to make their peptides/medications for them and “to only trust big pharma” to take care of that for you.
First off, BAN ALL PHARMA ADS PERIOD. Second, compounding pharmacies are extremely beneficial for so many patients who require medication in different doses, delivery method, etc. For example, I have an alpha gal patient who cannot use a capsule, so a compounding pharmacy makes her med into a pressed tablet. I have another patient who needs low dose Naltrexone but that dose does not exist on the market. But a compounding pharmacy can create that dosage tablet. I have another patient who cannot swallow pills, the med doesn’t come in liquid form, but compounding pharmacy can make it in a liquid suspension. Compounding pharmacies are able to make Ketamine oral dissolvable tabs that patients can take at home. Need a special dermatology cream? Yup, compounding pharmacy. Compounding pharmacies are what pharmacies used to be: a chemist mixing up their recipe and making your med for you. It didn’t used to be prepackaged pharma made drugs. They are trying to take away public trust from something that has been around for 120+ years. Oh and prevent people from getting peptide versions of their weight loss drug. Gotta protect that bottom line big pharma.
But by all means Eli Lilly……..we should ONLY trust the corrupt piles of garbage such as yourselves.
Compounding pharmacies distributed ivermectin during Covid while the big chains did not. They are so scrutinized, I would trust their ingredients compounded over any pharma drug made overseas in often filthy factories that the FDA barely reviews for safety and stopped visiting firsthand, often just relying on the data they provide to ensure safety. They also can provide drugs like low dose naltrexone that can only be issued compounded. Of course they are heavily targeted by pharma and the government. Many of the compounding pharmacies end up targeted, harassed, and put out of business. I support our town pharmacy, even when their prices are a little higher, just to ensure we have other avenues outside the big chains.
I couldn't agree with you more. One of the first things that RFK Jr. can do is to ban pharmaceutical industry television ads for products. We, along with New Zealand, to my understanding are the only countries that allow these pharmaceutical ads. If you watch an hour of TV about 30% or so of ads are pharmaceutical ads. They are nauseating. Let's get back to having doctors prescribe medications and inform their patients of the side effects and benefits.
