Heard that song and dance from the city/county all my life.

Yeah, it smells bad.

Uh, we're Super-chlorinating this week. Nothing to worry about.

Is it really safe?

They always trotted out their water analyses, but, now that you ask, can never remember seeing the newspaper bothering to independently do an analysis.

And the same type of folderol still goes on today.

We can access the water quality online, but just what are we seeing?

I don't know....

Who you going to believe? Your lying eyes or your nose/tastebuds?

Hmmm

🤔 I grew up on an island where there were artesian wells all over the place. They smelled awful (sulfur) but it was cold to drink right out of the pipe (usually coming out of a stack of rocks) as we rode our bikes or played near-by. None of us ever had any health issues that I can think of but back then there was no "city water" and the wells were fresh and not filters in any way that I'm aware of.

If I have my way, I will only get my water from my own well, not from any city system.
