I’m sure they will continue using “all natural” bugs as dye too. Carmine/Cochineal Bug is already in many products as a red dye and it is known to cause issues for some of the population. Shelf stable, processed food is always going to be full of junk.
The thing to do is to cut way back on processed foods if we are going to Make America Healthy Again. We need to go back to what Nature grows on farms. If we can do that, we can turn things around, reduce obesity, heart trouble, strokes and far less cancer. Having dyes in our food does NOT cut it!!
totally agree! it's a sign of the times, a sign of the complete superficiality of our modern "culture" that we put DYES in our food! Everything has become about looks and appearance, rather than substance, depth, and real effect. We in the West have lost our way (but we've been lost for hundreds of years at least). Some of us are waking up and have hope that a worldwide awakening is occurring.
Red apples! Apples must be bright red and BIG. Welp, I gotta tell you that here in southeastern Arizona, local apples from Wilcox are smaller are not as red or as BIG as those giant apples from Washington State. But the local apples have way more flavor. The Washington State applies taste watered down compared to the smaller local apples. It's not just about local versus long distance, it's about pumping up the applies with more water. I don't know how they do that, but you can taste it!
