In light of the fear propaganda spreading through Kansas City, I decided it was time to have a look at the Walgreens covid test stats. Kansas City proper has been issuing “moderate alerts” about rising cases. I have noticed a lot more mask wearing in the waiting room at the office. It has been about a month since the last check in so lets have a little lookie loo at what is goin on.
I look at vaccine status alone not the time since they had a vaccine. I agree there are different denominators to each group…..I do not really understand why we break them up as >5 <5 months to be honest. 3 vaccines is 3 vaccines. I do get your point however, and keeping the 2 separate may be a better idea. But if you add the total people tested in both those 3 vax groups, And extrapolate the positive percentage, the percentage positive would be much higher than the stand alone of >5 and <5. I hope that makes sense!

By my math the percent testing positive for an aggregation of two groups must necessarily be between the percents for the groups individually. Just where depends on the number of people in each group. If I mix a 40% alcohol recreational beverage with a 0% alcohol recreational beverage I get a cocktail with somewhere between 0% and 40% alcohol. Keep up the GOOD work!

I totally agree! The number is somewhere between the lowest number for 1 group and the highest number for the group combined. Absolutely agree.
When I do the next Walgreens breakdown I will change how that number is represented. :)
I wish Walgreens would give me actual numbers of people tested in each group! That would make life much easier!
