On June 19th, a jury of our peers in Wisconsin spent less than 2 hours deliberating the case of wrongful death of Grace Schara. The verdict: the hospital has been absolved of any guilt or responsibility for her death. No wrongdoing was found.
Zero explanation for why she was a DNR without family consent, zero answers for why she was in opiate overdose and hospital personnel stood by and did nothing to intervene. This decision is a dangerous one because now there is legal precedent in a wrongful death case from covid in a hospital setting. The next person who attempts to go after a hospital for their role in their loved one dying will face this verdict as precedent.
Do I believe the court got it right? Absolutely no. Not at all. God bless Grace. May God embrace her family who worked so hard to vindicate her death and force healthcare to answer to what happened.
I’ve lost all faith in our medical and justice systems. This is a travesty. RIP Grace.
Normally I would respond by saying 'forward ever'. However, upon learning the verdict...
who ever stated we're in a spirtitual battle....is correct. A pause is appropriate in order
to re-group. Grace and her family haven't lost....as this is 'Earth School'. Grace's
spirit is FREE.
