I am happy to announce that I have been off of psyc meds for two years now. No depression and no anxiety meds for the PTSD from military service. Diet was a big driving force for getting off psyc drugs. Home raised foods, meats, veggies and such with no added chemicals made me whole again. And the weight loss was another added bonus. No vaccines, no drugs, no processed foods, and lots of natural proteins have worked wonders.
Sounds like all these new "wonder drugs" are solutions in search of a profitable problem. No thank you. I have always been a little resistant to the idea that a pill will cure my PTSD. After all, a pill did not cause the PTSD. I am glad that there are some pills that help me by tamping down the symptoms. I can take or leave them depending on the situation. That makes life better, but it is not a cure. I had a relative by marriage with Schizophrenia. She was quite open with me when talking about her condition. She recognized that none of the medication offered to her was a cure. She taught me a great deal about learning to deal with my condition. She took a more Judo like approach to her Schizophrenia than seeking a cure. I have worked on approaching my PTSD in a similar manner. I am in awe of the grace she displayed. I know I am more contented and able to manage my life now that I leverage my PTSD instead of fighting it. No "wonder drugs" for me. Ignore the Pushers. For guidance, listen to the Steppenwolf song. After all, the Pushers want us dead.
I worked in residential treatment in 1988 and was amazed at all the meds the psychiatrists would dump into the kids. That affected my perspective forever. Have you thought about starting a concierge/freedom practice with a private holistic pharmacy?
Back in the 90’s, I tried em all. Anti depressants, anti psychotics, anti anxiety, etc. They all had wicked side effects for me that were not tolerable. I begged my therapist for years to research alternatives & help find a solution. If it’s an imbalance in the brain, there must be a nutritive supplement or combination that would help restore balance. He wouldn’t do the research. Finally, I came across Trudy Scott online at EveryWomanOver29.com & she talks about Amino Acids like GABA, L-Theanine, & Glycine, among others. There’s HTP-5 as well, for depression. The 3 Amino Acids GABA, L-Theanine, & Glycine, taken together, were a game changer! It stops the negative self talk, the panic attacks disappear, & anxiety is way more manageable! No side effects! You can find the 3 amino acids in one liquid, or buy them separately. I haven’t needed a therapist since! That’s probably why mine didn’t really want to help. I was being strung along for many years. Total waste of money. So glad I found Trudy! She has courses on the use of these amino acids & other things. They truly are a God send for me. Big pharma is a huge scam!
I guess they learned from the street pushers. Give 'em a taste and then charge through the nose once you have them hooked. The discount cards have NEVER been about helping the patient.
I was in a pain clinic and I had to jump through every hoop my doctor suggested or I’d be kicked out. He recommended I see a psychiatrist and after 15 he decided that I was depressed and put me on an anti psychotic…WTF?
I cannot tolerate psych meds so I got it filled and never took and told him I couldn’t take the side effects.
But seriously he never asked about my mental history and just decided I needed it. Bad, bad doctor!
We are seeing an EPIDEMIC of this right now. I am so angry with pain management in America it is just horrible!!! I see patients every day that were sent by pain management because “it is their anxiety” causing the pain to be worse.
No, it isn’t, it is your woeful under-treatment of their pain causing their pain to be worse!!!!
The only "treatment" offered by the VA pain management quacks is to pretend it doesn't hurt. They tell you that "mindfulness" will help. How the Hell is that supposed to work? Mindfulness is actually concentrating on what you are feeling. How is FOCUSING on the pain supposed to make it any less intense? Do you have to belong to the International Sadist Society to be a Pain Clinic Quack? And if any of the assembled multitude reading these posts are Pain Clinic Quacks, I do NOT apologize. You intend to do harm to those suffering every day. May you enjoy your own private lagoon in the Eternal Lake of Fire. OK, I might have some strong feelings on this subject. I'll calm down now. Piece out. (intentional)

So proud of you!!!!
The mind heals.

So that's how Big Pharma plays!
I always wondered about the role of the discount card.
Thanks for the reveal.
Gross little game isn’t it!!!
