The newest “version” of “covid head cold” is causing severe sore throats. Options for prevention.
Because of COURSE they would decide to have another off season illness…..fits the game-plan of the last few years perfectly.
In the name this crud game we keep playing in the post covid era…..now the soup du jour is named “Nimbus” and apparently, those who catch it have a severe sore throat.
I am a believer in prevention of whatever cooties are out there, and it is the season where we all travel and enjoy the long summer evenings. Dr. McCullough has been a long time advocate of naso/oropharynx hygiene. He is recommending we prevent this version of whatever they released in the exact same manner. Use your nose spray!!
I personally alternate between Xlear and Cofix…..depends on the season and where I am at. I don’t mess with the summer crud, because historically, summertime is when I seem to catch the crud. Last July both my husband and I caught something that was honestly pretty miserable. We were both sick for nearly 2 weeks. I did not use my nose spray like I should have been, and none of the usual treatment options worked against it.
So, just your friendly reminder that a couple sprays in the nose twice daily may mean a coof-free summer for you!
I was on X with someone about this subject.

My response is "So, it is a cold?"
Others reported their symptoms of "a cold." And yes, for those who experience the razor blade throat symptom, it is no picnic. I have had it, but I don't report it like it is something unusual. I am fine with a group of people talking about their cold symptoms, as long as that doesn't translate into quarantine and mask wearing as the only possible solution, which apparently is on the table.
Oh brother...is every little sniffle still covid? That lies needs to be extinguished.
