No, I am not talking about taking away your kids cell phone and banishing them to their room for a punishment. 😂
I have been incorporating grounding into my daily life. I started back in early August. The theory behind grounding is that connecting to the energy of the earth offers healing properties such as reduced inflammation and pain, better sleep, greater heart rate variability, improved immune system, regulation of your cortisol levels, reduction of EMF damage to the body, and reduction of blood viscosity such as blood clots, among other benefits.
The reason I decided to incorporate grounding into my daily life is that I work around so many vaccinated patients that I do what I can to keep myself healthy and away from the negative effects of shedding. I have had negative effects from vaccine shedding including abnormal bleeding, tiredness, and some brain fog on the days where many freshly vaccinated people were in my office. I can say that after 8 weeks of grounding, the difference has been fantastic.
Grounding is easy to do. Take off your shoes and go walk barefoot in grass, sand, ocean or lake water, or even cement (not asphalt) for 20-30 minutes. I will be the first to say that getting that done is hard because weather doesn’t always cooperate. In the summer it is hot as hades here. In the winter time it is too cold to do that. So I opted to use a grounding blanket and a grounding mat on my bed so that I get 6-8 hours of grounding while I sleep. Both products can be found online and on amazon. I even purchased a smaller throw blanket that I can put into my luggage for when I travel. You plug the blanket or the mat into the grounding port on an electrical outlet, and that connects you to the energy of the earth in the same manner as walking outside barefoot. The bonus is that I get 6-8 hours of grounding versus just 20-30 minutes of walking outside. (I prefer my outdoor time to be on 2 wheels 😎).
What have I noticed? First, my sleep has improved greatly. I sleep deeper. I have a sleep number bed and here are my scores for the last month (minus the 4 days I was out of town). The two nights that are in the “green” were simply my own bad decisions of staying up too late and not meeting my hours of sleep goal.
I have a higher heart rate variability when I sleep. I was averaging mid 80’s for a HRV according to my sleep number bed, and now I am in the upper 90’s to low 100’s. That means I am getting a deeper sleep that is more restorative. I am less tired at the end of the day. I don’t find myself nodding off at 7:30pm. I haven’t had a sofa power nap in 6 weeks.
I have a left knee that likes to get mad at me sometimes. High school bad decisions and sports come back to haunt us in middle age. That pain has all but resolved. I tend to carry tension in my upper back (like most women do) and I would have sore tension spots in my traps and scalenes. That has gone away.
I will continue with grounding. I have noticed enough positive benefits that I have no plans to stop. The blanket is super soft, and I have only gotten tangled in the grounding cord once so far which is a win, because I do have 2 left feet sometimes and can trip over my own shadow on occasion. I encourage you to research grounding and the benefits it offers.
Jennifer, when you wrote about this previously, I got a foot mat and I use it when I watch a bit of TV at night. Easy-peasy. No big change, but this is important, and I am committed. Slow and steady goes the race. Please note – I was experiencing a subtle malaise for the past two months, a vague brain fog or mild depression. Finally, four days ago I started drinking ozonated water (I’ve had the machine for years) and within a day my mental clarity improved noticeably. Sounds like it could help many of us. Can't wait to do more research.
Thanks for great info as always.
