She directs her literary tripe to the "special" people in her circle of well-to-do New England "liberals," the members of the "elite" who comprise the majority of The Atlantic's readership. She isn't asking ππ for forgiveness. She doesn't even directly mention ππ. This is about her and her circle -- some of whom got some things right and others who didn't and some who yelled at her when she wanted to reopen the schools because she just happened to notice the impact on her children. Obviously, she wants those people -- her people -- to kumbaya -- but worry not. She has already forgiven them; she's just letting π‘βππ know this so that ππππ (these very special people) can all come back together with all the bad feelings erased, gone, like they never happened -- because, of course, the worst of this crime never happened to her or the people she's worried about resuming dinner parties with.
Do not be fooled into thinking this one is asking you or any of us for forgiveness. She didn't give a crap about you 2.5 years ago and she doesn't now. FFS, she never even uses the word "sorry." Paraphrasing George Carlin, she doesn't care about you. She doesn't give a ph ukk about you -- at all. At all. π¨π πππ.
P.S. I have never cursed more or used words I never thought I'd ever use or name-called as much in my whole life as I have in the last nearly three years.
100% agree to ALL OF THIS! I literally wanted to spit at the screen when I read her article.
P.S. I have also never cursed more or been more creative with my cursing (which is actually saying A LOT) than I have over the past three years. In fact, I just typed "kumbaya mother fuckers" in my comment above and changed it to "kumbaya mf" in an attempt to reign in my mouth. π€£ Welp, I tried...but sometimes other words just don't get it done.
