And don’t go out and get RSV, flu and Covid shots that their own data show compromise your immune system and make you more LIKLEY to get sick. Sounds obvious to us but I work with a lot of people that get these shots and spend the entire season sick.
Yeah, and we're the ones wearing the tin foil hats!
Getting valid information from them is like sticking your knife into an open wound.
We have reams of circumstantial evidence, but no "proof".
Here's something: if a murder is committed with no witnesses, you can still gain a conviction when all the circumstantial evidence points inexorably to one person.
Thanks Jennifer. Another reason to NOT use the ER: 15 million illegals use the ER as their doctor visits because it is free ... free for them, which means you pick up the tab. Even with decent insurance, expect several thousand dollar tab for using the ER. Somebody has to pay for all these new democrats.
YUP! The ER is a Petrie dish of so much crap that you go there for one thing and end up sick with another thing!! And the cost……..horrible.
I have a high deductible plan so if I go to the ER, I have to pay the first $7500 then my insurance will pay 80%. No thank you! I just work on keeping myself healthy and my immune system cranking along!
Other than that, I pop a Zinc (tastes horrible!) only when I feel something bad coming on.
As to the rest: many, many people live-hand-to mouth so staying home and missing pay is not an option. And no, giving everyone "free" healthcare will not solve a cash-flow problem.
If you want to stay healthy, do your best to protect your own health.
If you are sickly, do what is possible to strengthen your immune system.
DO NOT EVER depend on others to look out for your health!
REMEMBER: Jessie James robbed banks because that's where the money is.
Hospitals are where the big nasty hard-to-kill diseases are.
One other suggestion from my integrative doctor: even if we are unvaccinated, we are exposed to spike protein from the shedding of those who are vaccinated. He suggested daily nattokinase.
Dr. McCullough has a protocol for the Nattokinase/Bromelain/Turmeric combo for spike protein. I think I have it in a previous post on here, or you can find it by searching online on an alternate browser such as Brave, Duck Duck Go, etc. They have it out there for people to follow! Not sure on the Nattokinase brand, I would see if Pure Encapsulations makes a version of it as they seem to be the purest and have the least filler crap.
As someone who grew up in Kansas City but have moved away, i see you guys are having a bad ice storm (Chiefs were stuck on tarmac for hours). Stay safe everyone. I remember driving through many nasty ice and snow storms when living there. No fun!
Questions and comments:
1. Do you dilute the hydrogen peroxide that you gargle with? I have been putting about a tbs into 4 ounces of water to use for gargle.
2. Thanks for reminder about sanitizing phone but i had forgotten about the steering wheel etc!
3. I have also noticed that people who have multiple jabs (covid, flu, rsv) seem to be the most immuno compromised.
4. I have several nasal sprays and have gotten lazy about using so thanks for that reminder.
Thanks for these common sense tips to improve our immune system and give us a fighting chance to stay well!
It is winter Armageddon out there today!!!! We’ve had probably 4” so far on the south side of the metro. Up north by the airport is going to get just hammered today!!
As far as the peroxide I use the food grade version and I just gargle it straight. (Not saying I recommend that, but I just do it without dilution). So far so good with no issues!!!
I am diligent at work with this one. At the end of every work day, I wipe down my desk, keyboard, mouse, ink pens, and my door knobs in my office.
Throughout the day, I grab a bleach wipe and wipe down the knobs and stuff in the hallway and lobby/bathroom at work because we have so much traffic thru the hallways I know they get gross. I try to stay on it hourly but they get hit at least 4 times a day by the bleach queen over here.
I learned to frequently clean my work station when I was assigned to a multi agency 24/7 operation center. I figured if I was going to wash my coffee cup, the same ting applied to the desk and computer. I invested in bleach wipes and a can of disinfectant spray. I would wipe things down when I arrived and before I left. Wouldn't want to leave a dirty work environment for the next person. I was there for almost a year and managed to avoid the crud that kept going around and around.
Great point! I used to do that when i worked but have gotten out of the habit in retirement. Other things that need sanitizing: door handles and light switches.
I have drank Airborne at the first sign of malaise for going on a decade now and swear by it. Where is a good place to get Oil of Oregano? I do take quercetin, D and calcium with magnesium and zinc daily, but now reading most supplements are owned by big corporates and manufactured overseas. So how do you know you're getting a good product?
Lately, I only trust those whom I can look into their eyes.
I keep reading these Big (Pharma, Cereal, Gov, etc) corporations sneak in stuff they call GRAS (generally regarded as safe) and don't bother to list it on the label.
Problem is, the stuff they call "safe" ain't necessarily so, and with the "vaccine", tested batches were found by independent testers to contain known toxins in questionably toxic amounts.
The FDA was founded to protect us from caveat emptor.
The FDA must be abolished in its present form as it is bought and paid for as evidenced by all the fiction it has produced these recent years.
Yes, my daughter was a history buff growing up and we (still) liked visiting random museums when we are out and about. There was a display of 'medicines' from the 1800's at one place included tonics with cocaine and morphine, and others that claimed cures for everything from 'female complaint' to hair loss. I half laughed, and half felt like little had changed.
I got sick right before Christmas and it was a bad couple of days of not eating and spending time in bed due to a mild fever and nausea. I treated it with water and bed rest. I was a little nauseous, mostly tired, and developed sniffles, a cough, and a set of runs. The worse part of it was the smell from my movements which I could barely smell due to a stopped-up nose, but others could.
Concerning getting sick and staying home, I respectfully disagree. 58 years of my life, I went to school/work/public places after being sick a couple days. If being exposed always meant you would get others sick, and it led to horrible outcomes, I would be with you on this, and so would everyone else. There would be pathogen detectors on doors. But here's the truth.
Exposure does not mean infection.
Infection does not mean death or even hospitalization.
As a kid when I most likely had what they called "swine flu." It was probably the worst I felt in my life. I was feverish, couldn't stand up, and remembered a lot of sleeping. I wasn't going out anyhow. But once sufficiently recovered, I went out into the world. Being sick and going out is not tantamount to "sharing" it. Because if that is true then we should all stay home. Because the immune-compromised no doubt are far more susceptible to even regular, garden variety bacteria and microorganisms. So should we not take your "sharing is not caring" to its conclusion and prevent any sort of interaction that could cause sickness in others?
My guess is you would recommend those who are immune compromised to assess their risk and act accordingly. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
My father, who died in 2007 was one of the vulnerable. He was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis when he was 20. I don't recall him going into isolation when we kids were sick, he never kept us at arm's length. He read longevity magazines, took supplements, and was open to experimental treatments for his arthritis. What he would not do was demand other sick people stay home to prevent "sharing" viruses with him. He was fond of family reunions, amusement parks, parties, and get-togethers. When he was sick in the hospital, he did not refuse visitors. He understood his risk was his own, and if he felt vulnerable, it was incumbent upon him to act accordingly, not demand others accommodate him. Or others on his behalf demanded accommodation of him.
I think you might be going a little deeper than necessary here.
The point I was trying to make here (and I must have missed the mark) is if you have a fever/vomiting/diarrhea, I don’t recommend going out and about. I personally don’t if I have one of these 3 things going on. Because I don’t want to share that with anyone. And let’s be real here, if you have one of those 3 things going on, you don’t feel good either to be out doing stuff. I certainly don’t have the energy or brain stamina to do my job to the level expected if I am head down in a toilet or shivering with a 101 fever. I never said stay home FOREVER……or until every symptom is gone…..you said it well yourself, after a couple days go back out and do the normal routine. My professsional stance that I use personally and recommend to people: once a fever breaks and you are vomit/diarrhea free for 24 hours by all means go back out if you feel up to doing so. If you have something bacterial and contagious like strep? Once you are on antibiotics for 24 hours you are good to be out again.
If you are not sick? Roam the country my friend. If you are immune compromised such as your dad? That risk level is your own to make. I have a couple of immune compromised people in my family and they have changed zero about how they live life despite the fake covid fear or cold/flu season. Everyone gets sick at some point. They take very little precautions to prevent illness, but when they get sick, they do stay home until the fever breaks or the barfing/pooping ends.
One final caveat here: everyone has a different “constitution” about themselves. Some are more sensitive to changes in their body, while others are not. I have a rather high pain tolerance, whereas my husband does not. I was pretty sick back in July, but I was able to take meds and work from home. I had a fever so I stayed home and went back to work in office when I was fever free for 24 hours. My husband felt so miserable he used sick time for 3 days. So what makes one person feel like hammered crap and in bed feeling miserable can be just a mere nuisance or a milder illness to another person who catches something.
Yes, but the soothing of the soul by the music produced (I am assuming of course, keyboard instruments in your home, not those pesky computers 🤣) boost your immune system as well😄😄
And don’t go out and get RSV, flu and Covid shots that their own data show compromise your immune system and make you more LIKLEY to get sick. Sounds obvious to us but I work with a lot of people that get these shots and spend the entire season sick.

Amen, that is the formula. Never too late to start taking care of yourself. Diet and Exercise.
Definitely agree on #7.
He who goes to the hospital alone...
Other than that, I pop a Zinc (tastes horrible!) only when I feel something bad coming on.

Well well said!!!!!
Thank you as always for your sage advice.
One other suggestion from my integrative doctor: even if we are unvaccinated, we are exposed to spike protein from the shedding of those who are vaccinated. He suggested daily nattokinase.
Keep in mind the anticoagulant effects of nanoKinase. Chronic drugs for a fib might need adjustment if you use it regularly.
I do not have A Fib but that is useful information. Thank you DrGU.
Is there a particular dosage to take or brand?
Thanks!

Excellent, Jennifer! Thank you very much.

I would like to add keyboards to the list of things that should be wiped down regularly. They get just as germ ridden as steering wheels or phones.
Yes to all this!

I agree with most of your recommendations.
