Someone in Ohio is pooping out a different covid strain.

For some reason, the University of Missouri is still hard at work looking at poop samples from sewage waste in various cities. Remember when they tried to predict a covid surge based on viral load found in the sewer “loads”? Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. I am not sure exactly why we are still gathering and testing sewer poop for covid, but apparently we are.

Anywho, there is a resident of Ohio who is apparently pooping out a different covid variant. And has been for 2 years. “The strain is coming from one person in Ohio and has been primarily found in two areas of the state: the city of Columbus and in Washington Court House, Ohio, located about 40 miles southwest from Columbus. Johnson believes the person may be someone who commutes between these areas for work.”. Coincidence that it is happening in a government building? Most government officials are full of shit. Seems appropriate.

The “poopy” professor has taken to Twitter in an attempt to find the person. “He said he first detected the new strain in a data sample last summer, and once again in March. Fortunately, this new strain of COVID likely isn’t contagious, and is more likely to be a form of long COVID, Johnson said. Johnson took to Twitter in April to seek public assistance in identifying the mysterious COVID strain and who it may be coming from.

“Help me solve a COVID cryptic lineage mystery,” Johnson said in a tweet in April.

“We recently discovered a cryptic lineage in Ohio. It appears to be derived from a person that was infected over 2 years ago,” Johnson said in a follow-up tweet.

“The one thing we know for sure it that this person is shedding a ton of viral material,” Johnson said in another tweet. “I suspect that they have a SARS-CoV-2 GI infection and may think they have something like IBD or chronic diarrhea.” Johnson, with the help of his Twitter followers and U.S. Census data, have narrowed down the list of possible infected peopleto about 1,600 – including 900 people that make a daily commute from Fayette County (where Washington Court House is located) to Franklin County (where Columbus is located), and 700 people who commute the other way. Johnson said he’s publicizing this information in hope the infected person, or someone close to them, will realize the situation and seek medical treatment.”

“Solid evidence” that something doesn’t “smell right” in the land of sewage. 😂
