Ugh. This is appalling and embarrassing for the profession of pharmacy. I am speaking as a retired (thank God) pharmacist.

And yes the corporatized pharmacy is ruining the profession, just like it’s doing to medicine. I no longer trust any of them.

I come from a dental family (grandfather, father, husband, son-graduates 2024), and there’s still hope for that profession! Dentists have resisted, so far...but we’ll see. The debt these kids have is nearly crippling-so ridiculous. Our son has a practice to join with his dad, but he says many of his classmates aren’t so fortunate, which may be why they end up working in “fast-food dentistry”(my husband’s description, which cracks me up).

In the 90’s I worked at a local owned pharmacy in a small town. He still did specialized compounding, and he knew everyone by name. One of the smartest people I have known. He is a big reason why I chose to go into healthcare. Now they have changed the education into a “follow the leader do what we tell you” and they have half the talent as those educated as RPh’s back in the day. THose were true chemists!!!!! I miss Main Street medicine. Lol fast food dentistry…..LOTS of those popping up!!! They are always close to a Fazoli’s too so the name is most appropos….. 😂
