The meeting of the minds at the FDA decided last Wednesday that they would UNANIMOUSLY vote for the newest covid vaccine to hit the market in fall 2024. Pfizer, Moderna, and Novavax will be ready to ship the newest mRNA injection that is designed to cover the JN.1 variant. There is apparently some new KP variant floating around out there, but the FDA decided to go with the JN.1 to make it “equitable”, as Novavax only has a JN.1 vaccine built, whereas Pfizer and Moderna *could* have had a KP whatever variant version ready to go but Novavax could not. So JN.1 it is. (Sounds like some very sound medical reasoning went into THIS decision! 🤦🏼♀️)
Approximately 22% of adults have taken ALL the shots, as have 17% of pediatric patients. My prayer here is that people stay away from these shots this fall.
Wow - 22%!! Obviously I have created my own bubble as I don't know anyone who has gotten these shots since 2022. But then again, the whole covid episode ushered in the great reset of my friends' circle. I suppose these 22% are the same ones who plan to vote for Biden and think that the government has their best interests at heart.
JN.1 Is it "free?" Where can I get it - Walgreens? My caring MD? Ohhhhh I can't wait.
