I am so sorry for you and your father. This, I believe, was the most egregious thing that they did to humanity-denying contact with our elderly loved ones. It was beyond any rational explanation as to what they thought would be accomplished. The next most egregious thing they did was to deny sick care to people who elected to not get the jab, the worst being the removal of people from organ transplant lists because of it. I hope they all burn in hell.

I can’t imagine what that must’ve been like. I was hospitalized for 6 days for a spinal surgery in 2020, and thought I would go nuts, but 8 MONTHS!!
When they finally allowed visitors, he had to sign up to be assigned because only ONE non-staff member (family member) was allowed in the facility at a time. It was a 30-minute visit and he had to be garbed in protective clothing, including a cap and gloves, which frightened her a bit. Only one visit per week was allowed and a negative antigen test no more than 3 days old (at $75.00/ea) had to be shown in order to enter. Meanwhile aides were coming and going, probably stopping at Walmart, grocery stores, or what not before they came to work.
His mom died 2-1/2 weeks after they “re-opened” the nursing home for visitors. She just became unresponsive on his second visit and went into a coma. At that point she was put in hospice and THEN he could be with her as long as he wanted. She died on October 31, 2020.
It was more than a travesty; I believe it was criminal. It can never happen again.
