They also refused to check vaccination status during the 2021 mandate BS and ended up battling San Francisco and dealing with forced shut downs. If only more companies followed this lead we would have never had to endure all the insanity.

This is fantastic. I still see so many masked people and it baffles me. It seems prevalent among young adults - it’s as if masks are their security blanket. So happy to see this policy put forth. I pray more businesses follow suit.

I think in the healthcare industry it may remain. Here at this hospital it appears that masks are voluntary in dealing with patients, but it appears half still choose to do it. The truth is if I am vulnerable, I should take measures to protect myself, not demand everyone protect me.

I notice that California In and Outs are not included?

Note the use of “him or her”, not “they”!!!

That's because CA is god (Yertle) and thinks they control everything they (think) they see.

Also, CA has yet to understand 800# gorilla satire and knows if they actively attempt to fight an uber popular fast food restaurant, it will expose their true agenda and cause them to lose badly in the upcoming election.

There is also a message here. This policy reflects what makes sense. Not everyone should mask to accommodate a few, especially when the risk reward of such things as masking far outweigh it’s supposed benefits. Masks discourage communication. And in the food service industry I guarantee you efficiency took a hit due to masking. Food took longer to prepare, orders were gotten wrong etc.

Thank you for sharing. Cheers for In n Out! Drawing a line and standing up in ANY capacity helps weaken grip of the mafia cartel of psychopaths trying so desperately to kill us all.

Yes, in SF they went against all of the worthless, draconian measures implemented by the dictatorial California government and when that was not enough, they shut down and moved out. Probably the first to leave what has now become an incredibly filthy city.

Nice. I'm an IN'N'NOUT fan too. They are a Christian organization. Wearing a mask is living a lie. Never, ever wear a mask - it is purely a mind-control technique. Peace.

I disagree with never wearing a mask. If I used a leaf blower I would probably wear one or if I had a job in a place with a lot of dust, or if I painted cars. Wearing one to protect against a virus with a very low death rate is ridiculous.

When I drove city bus there was a passenger who only wore a mask on days she was off her meds - claimed she couldn't stand the smell of others.

About the only thing the mask accomplished was to warn us she was off and muffle her potty mouth.

That’s why I am for freedom to mask as it does give those of us around them fair warning

Just a heads up, Doc. I’m no longer receiving your articles as well as 5 more emails from people I’ve subscribed to. I’ve written substack about this, but haven’t heard anything back.

I unsubscribed and subscribed again and still no luck. This started happening last week.

You are the 3rd person I have heard this from!!!!! I think they may be trying to censor and throttle………🤬

Personally I think wearing masks is ridiculous, but I also think the overriding, guiding principle should always be personal freedom for the individual. If you wear a mask, that does no harm to anyone. Sure it's nice if I can see your face, but that's less important than your right to make a choice that makes you feel comfortable. What I think makes sense is irrelevant. We've seen what happens when someone can make health choices for others, enough already.

Yet many jobs require clear communication and a mask inhibits that so a private company is well within their rights to make this their policy.

It's always easy to come up with a rationale for imposing one's own beliefs on others. Just remember that if you can do it to them, they can (and will) do it to you. That's why the overriding principle must always be freedom of choice.

I agree, and in the case of in ‘n out the choice is whether or not to work there. I think they thought long and hard about this policy and they aren’t being irrational in it. They aren’t saying you can’t wear a mask under any circumstance.

It wouldn’t take much to get a religious or medical exemption to wear a mask I imagine. People could get it based on anxiety and all sorts of reasons.

But the policy sends some great messages here. First, health is the responsibility of the individual not those around them. Second, wearing a mask is not normal nor should it be seen as laudable or virtuous.

I agree with you though that freedom is important and supported businesses making decisions concerning Covid restrictions until it was shocking and sad to see how many businesses fell over themselves to institute arbitrary and capricious restrictions like masks on planes and movie theaters.
