Plasmids evolved in bacteria to share DNA with each other, but they are also common laboratory reagents used to shuttle new DNA into cells. Their use in the PCR testing interfered with the test results by colonizing the laboratory workers. Has anyone investigated the potential harmful effect on the transfected laboratory workers, or on people who came in contact with them? We have become far too comfortable using potentially dangerous biological agents. The covid shots are one just one example of the dangers of our willful ignorance.
