Wow! What a story. Excellent sleuthing by you to finally figure out what was causing your symptoms! Glad to hear the glasses have completely resolved all the issues. Really amazing!

Jennifer: thank you for this information and sharing your personal story. As i get older (i am 70), i have some of those symptoms and feeling unsteady on my feet. Always a concern with falling. I had chalked these symptoms

up to aging so it is interesting to know there could be several reasons behind this beside aging.

I developed vertigo in 2020 after I had a retinal detachment. I knew it was related to vision because it started immediately after the retinal detachment surgery. When a retina is reattached its visual input to the brain is sometimes no longer aligned with the image from the other eye so it creates a problem similar to your own, and my symptoms are identical to yours. A few weeks ago I booked an appointment with a neuro-optometrist and your post has given me some hope it will help. I am glad you found an effective treatment because vertigo and its side-effects are disabling in a way that is difficult for most people (including physicians) to understand.

Oh my gosh you totally understand! You are going to be amazed at what neuro-optometry can do with prism lenses. It is seriously life changing. I never understood how awful this could be until it happened to me. If you have any questions before your appt, please reach out! And let me know how things go with your appt!

I am 24 hours into my glasses now……..I don’t take them off at all. The difference is that huge. I am still dizzy free since putting them on. My left eye is the bad one, and I was told to expect 7-10 days for it to fully settle in with the prism. I can tell further improvement today. I promise there is hope for you here! ♥️

Wow! With chronic migraines and recent vision changes, plus the genetic familial history of eye problems, i followed your link and took the test.

I am a 48.

I have a decent optometrist now, and have been to several great-reputational opthalmologists/eye surgeons in the past (for family and self), but never found the prism glasses/binocular vision solution. Suffered with decreasing days of functioning and feeling like the bad days outweigh the good.

Looking forward to the feedback regarding the test.

Thank you Doc B.

God bless you Jennifer Brown! This may indeed be wisdom I need. I have had some of those vertigo symptoms once it lasted almost a whole weekend and made me nauseous. I have had it in more isolated moments not nearly as often as you. This started quite a while after I had a concussion. But I have never had covid that I know of and it never affected my driving thank God. Thank you too! I will be upgrading soon if I haven’t already.

And I will seek the binocular eye exam soon. It’s time for new glasses anyway.

Thank God you found the solution. I've had vertigo from sinus issues and it's miserable. Thank you so much for explainining what happened so that we can rejoice with you.

I have a friend who becomes unbalanced in tall buildings and has to hang onto the walls to get to an elevator. She's 75. I will forward this and see if it helps.
