Where is the Federal Trade Commission demanding the elimination of this monopoly? The PBM insisting you only fill prescriptions at THEIR pharmacies doesn't count? Sounds like the coal mining companies issuing their own "script" (instead of dollars) so the miners had to shop at the Company Store. We are nothing more than bard yard commodities to the Medical Corporations. Fleece us and then engineer our deaths before we become a Cost Center. Viva Arkansas!
Thank you for pointing out the down side of mail order pharmacies. I had a Rx that supposedly shipped but was never delivered. The tracking showed the order stuck in limbo. I called Express Scripts who told me that i needed to call the Post Office. I called the Post Office who told me (you guessed it) that i needed to call Express Scripts. So there was no help from either side. That was the last time i used Express Scripts. Incidentally that Rx arrived a month later.
One day I discovered a shipment we had received, packed in dry ice, about $30,000 worth of specialized drugs that had accidentally been delivered to us instead of their customer.
I figured there was about one day of life left in the dry ice, so I immediately called our internal inspector and she called the shipper.
They told her to hazmat them.
I guess "lost" is now more acceptable than "we screwed up".
I sincerely hope the end user was able to survive this fiasco.
