The main focus of this letter is not the lame invitation to go see a recruiter again, it is the information that those expelled from the Service for refusing the vaccine can now get the nature of their discharge changed to Honorable. If you refuse an order, your discharge is "Other Than Honorable" at best and Dishonorable at worst. Both of these have negative consequences. To have a Dishonorable Discharge is to be a felon. With an Honorable Discharge a lot of doors open. This is HUGE admission by the DoD. They didn't do this for the folks railroaded out for refusing the Anthrax shot in the 1990s.

As far as re-entering the military goes, everyone involved knows the COVID vaccine was used as a way to purge the ranks of those deemed "politically unreliable". More humane than Stalin's approach, but the concept is the same. I imagine if any of the affected Veterans bothered to see a recruiter, they would be met with so much red tape that it would be apparent that they were not really welcome.

Also, the timing is suspicious. Granting this big concession to those wronged soldiers is an attempt to make them feel grateful towards the current administration. Typical abuser behavior. An election is coming.
