The safety of Covid 19 vaccines in elderly people age 65 and above: we had safety signal concerns in early 2021.

The US centers for Medicare (CMS) decided to monitor what the covid vaccine did in their patient population. Their purpose of this study was “We present new findings from a nationally representative early warning system that may expand the safety knowledge base to further public trust and inform decision making on vaccine safety by government agencies, healthcare providers, interested stakeholders, and the public. Hmm. Interesting.
As of the writing of this journal article, (published 1-9-23), they had 17,411,342 COVID-19 vaccinees who received a total of 34,639,937 doses. Wow, 17 MILLION people over age 65 vaccinated, for a total of 34.6 million doses given. That is a lot of MRNA into arms.
The article goes on to discuss that they were using surveillance programs such as VAERS to look at vaccine safety signals, but admit that VAERS is a voluntary database not a required one for healthcare providers.
Now hold up a minute here: haven’t we been shouting for a very long time that VAERS captures maybe 1-10% of vaccine injuries regardless of the vaccine they got? And haven’t we also heard the pro-vaccine tribe shouting back that “VAERS is not credible and its not true”? So it was apparently credible enough for CMS to use it to gather their data for safety signal alerts in the elderly Medicare population!!!
OOFH the double standard gibberish.
Moving on:
We calculated annual background rates within the strata of the standardized variables, where possible, during 2017–2019 (pre-COVID-19) and peri-COVID-19 (January 1, 2020–December 10, 2020). Well this is the first time I have heard them call 2020 “peri-covid”. Do they really mean “pre-vaccine”? Probably.
In the link above, Look at table 2, which lists the safety signal outcomes:
Acute Myocardial infarction:
So they are saying that with roughly the same number doses were given here, Pfizer and Moderna, with the same relative risk (0.97 vs 0.94), but the PFIZER did indeed alert to a safety signal. IN FEBRUARY 2021. Why they say Moderna did not is beyond me, they were damn near neck and neck.
Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia:
This also alerted with a safety signal……in APRIL 2021. Again, just Pfizer, lets ignore Moderna being neck and neck again with issues.
They claimed no other safety signals were noted, but I take exception with that statement. We had just as many people experience Deep Venous Thrombosis as we did heart attacks. More than 17k experienced pulmonary embolism between the 2 vaccines. More than 14k experienced a non-hemorrhagic stroke (clot versus bleed out). Over 7k had Bells Palsy.
These safety signals were known a long time ago. As early as February 2021.
When they did the analysis of the data, they did decide that 4 conditions met criteria for early warning safety signal: Myocardial Infarction, Pulmonary Embolism, DIC or disseminated intracoagulation and immune thrombocytopenia.
The safety signals were there long before we ever put a vaccine into younger people and children.
This was my watershed moment - https://leemuller.substack.com/p/a-culmination-of-observations-and
I find these studies frustrating. They are woefully inadequate and give tacit acknowledgment of four safety signals yet end with this “FDA strongly believes the potential benefits of COVID-19 vaccination outweigh the potential risks of COVID-19 infection.” How can they be so obstinate and blind?
