So far we have a suddenly deceased sister in law of an Olympian, a suddenly deceased boxing coach, and a Slovakian swimmer who collapsed coming out of the pool. No word on her condition.
We also have several triathletes who were vomiting after swimming in polluted river water.
We wait to see what this week brings……

I have to admit, I have only seen snippets of the Olympics in restaurants and on YouTube.
Since I have no cable TV, the Olympics are almost irrelevant.
I know the Seine has not been available to swim in for 100 years.
I know the French built a monstrous sewage holding tank in an attempt to clean up the river.
I know about the controversies which have been running non-stop during these Olympics ranging from food to air conditioning to cardboard to unbelievably insane decisions.
This is the first I've heard of sudden collapses and sickness.
Shades of "safe and effective"?
