The great Plaxovid versus Ivermectin debate

OK so for the most part, I stay out of this arena because I believe you should make your own decisions about how to treat covid.  There are TONS of research documents out there discussing that covid can indeed be treated, effectively, with off label use medications.  And, there are numerous studies (hundreds upon hundreds) that have shown efficacy for Ivermectin in treating covid, preventing hospitalization, and death.

At the basic level of all of this, we have to understand just a few basic building blocks.

1. We knew early on that yes, covid infection could be treated with ivermectin.  The DARPA study that was declassified and reported by Project Veritas verifies not only the origin of the spike protein but also the curative agents.  Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, and Interferon (monoclonal antibodies).  I will note here that the priciest of those meds were monoclonal antibodies, so no surprise they decided to go ahead and allow the use of them.

1. We have to understand that the whole reason you suppress the cure is to make sure pharma makes money off the new expensive EUA agents they developed

So understanding JUST those two basic things will tie this together nicely.

to learn more about Ivermectin.  **I am not telling you to use it.  I am just helping people LEARN about it.  Your decision to use it is your own.  Did I use it?  Yes.  Did my family use it when they had covid?  Yes.  Did several friends use it?  Yes.  Did we all survive and avoid being hospitalized?  Yes.

So when you hear the talking television heads blather on and on about Ivermectin NOT working…..that is not true.  It is just ivermectin is cheap, and if it worked, the “covid plan” would not have gone according to “plan”.  Pharma would not have made their money off this crazy terroristic plan they hatched.

The entire 1 hour 50 minutes is a great watch.  But if you fast forward to the 53 minute mark, the dialogue with Dr. Pierre Kory with Kirsh/Alex Berenson really hits home how frauded evidence based medicine is, the false sense of security we put into clinical trials and journals, and the efficacy that Dr. Kory has had with using Ivermectin in the ICU setting for treating covid.

Now, here is the data on the drugs they WANT you to use.

SO looking at the studies alone……which one is far more studied?  Ivermectin.  Which one is off patent and cheap?  Ivermectin.  Which one is not experimental emergency use?  Ivermectin.  Which one was handed out BY THE INDIA GOVERNMENT as prophylaxis use during Delta?  Ivermectin.  (Who had really low case rates I might add and super low death count).

What do I know about Plaxovid?  Well, here is the 35 page EUA sheet for Plaxovid.

First major red flag:  they are allowing a PHARMACIST to prescribe it without a medical order.  That is a whole other post, but pharmacists have zero business giving plaxovid to ANYONE without a prescription to do so.  We have blurred the lines of pharmacy practice so severely, that lawsuits will be immense someday from the damage that was done.  And not just pertaining to covid.  Lets not forget, pharmacists also blurred the legal bounds when REFUSING to dispense Ivermectin.  But they have NO PROBLEM literally crossing the line of giving a prescription only medication to someone with NO PROVIDER ORDER to do so.  And the FDA ok’ed them doing so.  Disgusting.

You should NOT take Plaxovid if you take any of these drugs below:

Some familiar names there……especially the cardiac meds.  And the statins for cholesterol.

And then this.  It is a potent 3A inhibitor.  As in, Plaxovid will SLOW the metabolism of other drugs who use that 3A pathway.  Which can cause toxic levels of a drug in the body, and adverse effects.  What other meds use the 3A pathway?

Look at pages 11-19 in the FDA link above.  A lot of medications people take daily are on that contraindication list.  **shameless plug here, this is why it is IMPERATIVE that your provider knows every single med you take.  There are a lot of psych meds and pain meds contraindicated with plaxovid.  This is also why a damn pharmacist should not be handing out plaxovid like candy without a medical order to do so.

Also, don’t forget that pesky Tetrahydrofuran used to make Plaxovid.  That is a real chemical disaster.

So what about Plaxovid and pregnancy?

Yeah, no.  Hard pass if I was pregnant or breastfeeding.  ALL of these screenshots are from the FDA link above.  Feel free to scroll through the 35 pages and gather your own thoughts and opinions about it.

The final portion of interest.  This article discusses how Plaxovid DOES ZERO GOOD for vaccinated individuals, and is designed to be used by “unvaccinated high risk for severe disease individuals”.  Plaxovid does zero good for the vaccinated, or those with mild/moderate illness and not severe disease.  Well fantastic.  Why would anyone take this?!?!

SO what about Ivermectin?

This article shows that it none to weakly inhibits the highlighted liver pathways.  Not nearly as dangerous of drug interactions as Plaxovid is.

The more you know kids.  I encourage you to read the links here, the articles about Ivermectin.  The states of Missouri and Kansas have made it illegal for a pharmacist to refuse to fill your prescription if your provider sends Ivermectin to the pharmacy for you.  And many have discovered there are alternative ways to obtain this medication as well.  AGAIN, I am not telling you how to treat covid if you get it.  But I do think that people should have the truth from both sides of the fence and the studies at their disposal when making the decision.
