The FDA has finally conceded that yes, we can prescribe Ivermectin, and they wrongly interfered in the prescribing/filling of the drug during covid.

Thank you to a lawsuit by Drs. Mary Bowden, Paul Marik, and Robert Apter, the FDA had to concede that their following advertisement was wrong, and that yes indeed Virginia, there is freedom to prescribe Ivermectin however a provider sees fit to do so.

“Doctors are free to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID-19, a lawyer representing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said this week.

“FDA explicitly recognizes that doctors do have the authority to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID,” Ashley Cheung Honold, a Department of Justice lawyer representing the FDA, said during oral arguments on Aug. 8 in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.”

Remember THIS ad campaign? Remember all the physicians who were taken to court, lost their license, threatened with their license if they prescribed ivermectin? Remember all the pharmacists who refused to fill ivermectin? Pharmacies that banned filling the drug? How many people died because treatment was withheld? If you recall, this was going on long before the beloved sham Paxlovid ever hit the market, and the only reason Ivermectin and HCQ were withheld was to avoid interrupting the deployment of vaccines and Paxlovid.

Welcome back to the formulary Ivermectin. You should have never lost your spot on the shelf to be used as directed by the prescriber. And a hearty middle finger to the FDA for interfering with a provider treating a patient.
