I have said it before……do NOT EVER EVER ENROLL for a Medicare advantage plan. They are among the worst leech suckers out there. They prey on elderly people who are on a fixed income, trying to save money on their Medicare plan. But what they actually do is give the person who signed you up for the plan a $400+ kickback for enrolling you, they offer horrible reimbursements for care, and many places are no longer taking the Advantage plans. I call them take advantage of people plans.
Well, the DOJ would like to have a word with a few of them. For discrimination, false claims, etc. Surprisingly, United Health Care is not on this list because I have seen their shenanigans first hand and wouldn’t let a dead dog enroll with them.
These plans need to be abolished.
Many years ago, I heard a Doctor from a group called ATLAS MD, Wichita. It was a group of Doctors who wanted to run their practices differently. It was a simple plan and very cost efficient. It was what is now called a "concierge plan".
I looked around my area but couldn't find a practice like that.
I wish the government or SOMEONE would look at the idea and make something like that a choice. We need OPTIONS, get rid of O-care and all the other "one size fits all" ideas.
I am almost 65 and now getting inundated with calls from these bloodsuckers. Thank you for the advice.
