Remember the Walgreens Covid tracker? Decided to do a little check in on that.

I haven’t been to this website in months, so I wanted to see if it was still active or not. It is still limping along on its final breaths of the “pandemic”.

First off, notice the very few number of people being tested.

1961 tests given nationwide at Walgreens. With a 24% positivity rate. That would mean that out of appx 2,000 people tested, a little less than 500 tested positive. But to the layman covid fear propagation committee, the “we are still at 24.8% positivity” sounds like a super scary number! Fear porn.

The second part that I found most entertaining was the states in BOLD RED….where “cases are rising”. Well, lets have a look at those. I will show you Oregon, Texas, and Colorado.

Texas did 332 tests with 22.6% positive. 73 positive tests. But ohhhhhh that is a 2.8% rise from the week before you YOU get a RED zone Texas.

Colorado is even more ridiculous. They tested 39 people. THIRTY NINE PEOPLE. 10 people tested positive, which is 14% higher than the week before when 10% of the 37 people tested were positive. RED ZONE FOR YOU COLORADO.

And finally here is Oregon. 17 people tested, roughly 1.87 people(s) tested positive to give a positivity rate of 11.8%. But that is a 6.5% increase from the week before so RED TAG ON OREGON.

I cannot even with these numbers. I hope this tracking site whimpers into its last gasp of existence here soon because this is just laughable at this point. I was shocked it was even still online and tracking.
