In case you wondered who the “Affordable Healthcare” benefitted…..
For the record, I was not a supporter of the ACA back when it passed. Hospitals and insurance companies were, as more people insured = more money. More insured people means more visits for healthcare at hospitals. Because hospitals own all the outpatient clinics as well. The ACA is why “well checks” were determined to be free, because they would get people in the door, and when they find something “wrong” they had a customer for life.
I can’t say what the answer is to this gigantic problem……but continuing to fund the ACA so that the insurance companies and hospitals make billions is not the answer.
ANYTHING the government (a.k.a. the DC Swamp) does is NEVER for the benefit of the people. Maybe some people get a bunch of free stuff, but that is nothing other than buying votes. All that free stuff is in fact stolen from taxpayers with government as the shuffle man.
Obummercare benefited the insurance companies, hospitals, doctors and big pharma...all stealing more from the citizen then ever. Look around? Is the country healthier after a dozen years of this rip off?
Thank you, Dr. F. I just learned about this last night from “RJ Talks” on YouTube. The Dems want billions sent directly to the insurance companies, with no real control over what they do with the money. That’s why Trump countered with “let’s give that money to the taxpayers to buy insurance.” I don’t pretend to understand all this, but one of my guiding principles is “If you don’t know the hidden agenda, you don’t understand the issue.”
