Today is the day we celebrate every single worker in our country. How many “laborers” have had to change jobs due to vaccine mandates? How many lost their job? How many were coerced into something they did not want? How many caved, and how many fought back?
Today I celebrate all of you who stood strong, stood firm, and fought back against your employer. Without us “laborers”, our country would come to a grinding halt. If you have any doubt of that, check out the nursing shortage. Healthcare is on severely shaky ground because while the ivory tower decision makers bark their orders, without the “laborers”, the job cannot be done.
To all of the hard working people who make our country what it is, today is for you. Enjoy the day you deserve!!
Today is also a friendly reminder that as we go into September, the sun angle changes quickly as we enter the changeover to fall. If you are not a daily Vitamin D supplementer, then now is the time to start your vitamin D! After the fall changeover, our sun angle in the northern states does not provide enough direct sunlight to sufficiently convert Vitamin D, and we need supplementation.
Stay safe and healthy!
I relinquished my near 20-year career in HR (out of a total career span of nearly 40), refusing to mask, or walk only counterclockwise in my office, or stand facing the corner on painted-on white shoes in the elevator as one of only two people "allowed" at one time, and of course, since anyone could see where this criminality and stupidity were leading -- I refused to be a party to the forced injection as a condition of ongoing employment. I refused to lead a recruiting team that would tell candidates that this same injection would be required of them. I left, giving up my salary, health insurance, and full retirement (a year and a half away) and other benefits. As I said to my husband at the time, I'll sell everything I have and live in a trailer before I would ever consent to any of this.
Thanks Jennifer! Have a great weekend. Peace.
