Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) is suing Pfizer and Moderna for “patent infringement”

Well, I am not sure you want to admit you were the “original creator” of the mRNA platform that covid vaccines were built on, but GSK is doing just that!

GSK is alleging that they developed the mRNA platform technology as early as 2008, and had a patent for it in 2011. They claim that Pfizer and Moderna made “billions” by using their platform, without license to do so, and they owe GSK for the use of it.

GSK also alleges that the reason covid vaccines came to market so fast was that the work was already done, all they had to do was insert the spike protein and off to production the vaccine went.

So a few thoughts. One, yes, mRNA platform had been around for many years and was unsuccessful in research testing. It did not work well for any vaccine they tried to make with it. Second, we know that the federal government was in charge of covid vaccines LONG before covid, with patents for covid as early back as 2015-2016. And evidence the covid vaccine existed in 2018, and was already produced in 2019. I am wondering what the bigger purpose is of this suit. Why was the suit not brought to light prior to now? These mRNA darts have been out for 3+ years now. How did licensing not become an issue prior to now? What is the purpose of this lawsuit?

I have questions. But I damn sure would brag that I developed the mRNA technology that these darts were built upon!
